Locked Out Lunch

So the other day my darling children were unhappy as usual and were making getting out of the door impossible, whilst the other half briskly walked past us and on his way to his very peaceful meeting, and I just so happened to put my raincoat on shut the front door and... Oh my goodness I forgot my key!
I must have stood there for about 5 mins thinking he's in a meeting, it's raining, Theo has school and I'll be left to do what?! So I dropped Theo off and took a desperate escape into a cafe not seconds from my door. I absolutely despise those people who sit on their own for lunch or use their child to talk to to pretend they're not on there own, but i don't do it. Never. But here I was sitting at a table in a cafe having lunch with my daughter who is my only company whilst we wait for daddy.
It turned out to be a rather lovely lunch we had Emilia munched on choc chip biscuits and cheese and onion crisps whilst I had a jacket potato and a chocolate latte with gingerbread syrup and whipped cream. Oh hell to the diet! Emilia sat really well in the highchair with her book and biscuit.
The cafe was so nice, they were friendly and their decor was so shabby chic it reminded me of Emilia's bedroom (post to follow) and we took a couple of photos to show you how nice!

  7. I actually really like going to cafes on my little one. It means we have one on one time when I won't get distracted by the washing or blogging etc. But i know what you mean i didn't think I'd be one of those people.
